University of Oxford, UK – 14 & 15 September 2026
University of Oxford, UK – 14 & 15 September 2026
Biological Control Systems 2026 will bring together researchers, students, and industrial partners in Oxford to showcase cutting-edge work at the interface of biology, control, engineering, and the quantitative sciences.
This conference will cover a broad range of topics, including modelling and design of gene circuits, optimisation of biological processes, and machine learning and control strategies for natural and synthetic biological systems, with applications in healthcare, biomanufacturing, food, and agriculture.
This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with a vibrant and growing community, network with peers, and be part of the conversation as we build the future of the field.
Who is this for?
Synthetic biologists working on tools and methods for precise and robust control of biological systems
Control & ML theorists and engineers entering biology
Engineering Biology PhDs/postdocs/PIs
Industry (incl. automation, DNA synthesis, biotech & biomanufacturing)
Important dates:
20 March 2026: Registration opens
15 May 2026: Abstract submission deadline
15 Jun 2026: Early bird registration deadline
11 Sep 2026: Final registration deadline
14 & 15 Sep 2026: Biological Control Systems 2026!
All attendees, particularly researchers in the early stages of their career, are invited to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral communication.
Travel awards are available for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers currently studying or working in the UK, thanks to the generous support of AIBIO-UK.
